Tamil star hero Vishal expressed his desire to join politics.
Vishal, who is equally famous in Telugu, said that he will join politics in 2026 and contest the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Vishal’s statement has gone viral among film and political circles in Tamil Nadu.
Vishal made his debut as an actor in Tamil movies in the early 2000s and carefully built a career for himself in the Tamil film industry. Besides acting, he has also produced movies on his home banner. Almost all his movies are dubbed in Telugu. He has starred in successful movies like Pandemkodi, Bharani, Abhimanyu, Detective, and others.
Besides being busy with his acting and movie production works Vishal actively takes part in several social service activities. He also works as general secretary of Nadigar Sangham (Tamil Actors Association) and plays a key role in its activities. He has lent a helping hand to many in need, endearing to Kollywood insiders and people.
Now, as an extension of his social service activities, Vishal is planning to enter politics. Tamil Nadu has always seen a mingling of the movie industry and the political landscape. Legendary Tamil leaders MGR, Karunanidhi, and Jayalalitha have been part of movies before making a mark in politics. Treading the age-old tradition, Vishal is dreaming of a political career.
