The 21-year-old cricketer, hailing from Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, has been picked by the BCCI for the T20I series against Bangladesh.
Incidentally, Nitish Reddy is the only cricketer from two Telugu states to be included in the team India.

Nitish Kumar Reddy finished the IPL 2024 season by scoring 303 runs with a 33.7 average in 15 matches. He also picked 3 wickets. Nitish’s head-turning performance ensured that he was bestowed with the ‘Emerging Player’ Award.
Now, the promising cricketer from Andhra has the coveted opportunity to play for the Indian national team in T20 Internationals, bringing cheers to not just his family, friends, and fans but also the entire AP.
India will play three T20 matches against visiting Bangladesh on October 6, 9, and 12. Surya Kumar Yadav will lead the 15-member Indian team, which includes players like Sanju Samson, Washington Sundar, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Yadav, Nitish Reddy, and Shivam Dube.
