Popular South actor Daniel Balaji passed away in Chennai on Friday.
He suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday night. When family members took him to the hospital, he was declared dead. The 48-year-old actor is a familiar face for Telugu and Tamil movie lovers, as he has acted in more than 50 movies in various languages.
Daniel Balaji started his career as a production manager with Kamal Hassan’s unreleased Marudanaayagam movie. Later, he shifted to acting and became a familiar face for the South audience. He starred in the Pinni serial produced by actor-turned-producer Radhika and shot to fame with Daniel’s character. The role became so famous that ‘Daniel’ was prefixed to his name, Balaji.
Later, Daniel Balaji acted in movies like Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (dubbed as Raghavan in Telugu), Samba, Garshana, Tuck Jagadish, and others. He played mostly negative roles and left an impact on his acting skills.
Daniel Balaji is unmarried. He has donated his eyes. His last rites are being held in Chennai on Saturday. Celebrities from Telugu and Tamil film industries are paying their last respects to Daniel Balaji. #RIPDanielBalaji
