In a peculiar development that has made headlines at the national level, Delhi Police served notices to Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy on Monday.
Delhi Police asked the CM and TPCC chief to attend an inquiry in Delhi on May 1 along with his mobile phone.
Delhi police summoned Telangana CM Revanth Reddy for twisting and misrepresenting Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments regarding the scrapping of reservations.
According to Delhi Police, the Telangana Congress campaign team is believed to have morphed Amit Shah’s video to present it as if the Union Home Minister had announced the scrapping of reservations for SC, ST, and BCs.
Interestingly, the Delhi Police team personally travelled to Hyderabad and issued notices to CM Revanth Reddy and others at the grand old party’s Telangana headquarters, Gandhi Bhavan.
Delhi Police acted according to a complaint filed by the Union Home Ministry.
They served notices to the TPCC chief, making him responsible for the misleading videos spread by the Telangana Congress’ campaign and social media team. As Telangana CM Revanth Reddy is acting as the TPCC chief, he has been summoned, raising the political temperatures up.
