Global tech giant Amazon will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to expand its operations in Hyderabad. Amazon senior leadership informed Telangana IT Minister D Sridhar Babu about company’s future plans for growth in Hyderabad.

A delegation led by IT Minister D Sridhar Babu met Amazon senior leadership, as part of US tour. IT Minister Sridhar Babu interacted with Kerry Person, Vice President, AWS Data Centre Planning and Delivery, Amazon and urged to step up investments and expand operations in Hyderabad. Kerry Person positively responded to Sridhar Babu’s request.
“Amazon is set to significantly expand its data center facilities and workforce in Hyderabad. Following productive discussions with Amazon’s senior leadership led by Kerry Person, VP, AWS Data Centre Planning & Delivery, Telangana has secured a stronger commitment to boost their operations in the state,” tweeted Telangana CMO’s official X handle.
Already Amazon has a strong presence in Hyderabad. Tech giant has its largest corporate building and three data centres in Hyderabad. It has also launched Amazon Air in 2023.
With Telangana Government’s fresh pitch for stepping up investments in Hyderabad, Amazon leadership has assured of expanding operations by focusing on AI/ML.
